Dennis McGillicuddy, Chief Executive Officer
Dennis McGillicuddy graduated in 1966 with honors from the University of Florida Law School. He practiced law until becoming a partner in a cable television company. The business was sold in 1999. During Dennis’ career, he was involved in various businesses including investment banking, waste to energy facilities, recycling of industrial metal-working fluids, biological treatment of waste water, magazine publishing, commercial real-estate, real-estate development and home building, the manufacture of building products and minor league professional baseball, and significant investments in publicly traded securities. He currently serves on the Board and Audit Committee of Franklin Street Properties, a publicaly held REIT.
Dennis has served on the boards of various nonprofit organizations. He is currently President of the Board of Trustees of Florida Studio Theater, a professional nonprofit theater organization. He is the Co-Chair of Embracing Our Differences, an annual 2-month art exhibit promoting the values of diversity and inclusion.
Chief Financial Officer
Michelle Andrews, Chief Financial Officer
Michelle Andrews serves as the Chief Financial Officer for All Star. With over 20 years of accounting experience, she is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida. Michelle completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with a Minor in Economics, and a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida. She began her career in accounting at KPMG, LLP in Tampa, Florida and in 2009, moved to Sarasota and served as the Tax and Accounting Controller for a local Single-Family Office. Michelle is an innovative and driven accounting professional who strives to learn new ways of doing things and takes on challenges that are sometimes out of her comfort zone. She is extremely disciplined with strong integrity and communication skills, and loves to roll up her sleeves to get the job done. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her two teenage daughters and Labradoodle named Emma.
Chief Development Officer
Stephen Fancher, Chief Development Officer
Stephen Fancher has been in Sarasota since 2012, relocating from the New York area where he was active as a musician and teacher. Stephen has a passion for working with kids, having been awarded Stamford Connecticut’s Teacher of the Year in 2012, he was the general music and chorus teacher at Julia A. Stark Elementary School for eight years. He decided to transfer his skill set as teacher to the field of finance working as a financial advisor with the Mariash-Lowther Group at Merrill Lynch from 2012-2016. Stephen joined the world of not-for-profits in 2016 combining his skills in teaching, finance, and business development working at the Sarasota Opera as their Development Officer and JFCS as their Vice President of Development. His unique skill set developed from teaching, finance, music, and sales sets him apart as a fundraiser. Originally from central Connecticut, Stephen earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano performance, studying piano at the University of Connecticut, Trinity College of Music in London, England and at the conservatory at SUNY Purchase in New York. He has been very active in the Sarasota community sitting on the boards of the Artist Series Concerts and the Sarasota Music Conservatory, as well as performing the role of assistant conductor and accompanist for Key Chorale. Stephen lives in Sarasota with his wife Michelle and daughters Piper and Sofie. They enjoy the beaches, the arts, and spending time with family and friends.
Sharon Ghazarian, Ph.D.

Sharon Ghazarian, Ph.D., Chief Research Officer
Sharon R. Ghazarian, PhD is a research methodologist and expert in complex statistical analysis and research methodology for medical, behavioral and social sciences. She brings experience from a variety of perspectives including behavioral health, public health, social sciences and hospital medicine. Prior to joining All Star Children’s Foundation, Dr. Ghazarian was the Senior Director for Health Informatics at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida and served as a faculty member in the Division of Health Sciences Informatics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she conducted research on methodological advances in healthcare data with a particular focus on pediatric developmental outcomes.
Dr. Ghazarian has successfully built data and analytic teams for over 10 years, including teams of epidemiologists, biostatisticians, database designers, data scientists and clinical analytic specialists.
Prior to her Florida relocation in 2016, Dr. Ghazarian was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland and Director of the Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Data Management Core at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical campus. She held a joint faculty appointment in the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing’s Department of Community and Public Health, providing expertise and guidance for research on child outcomes. Dr. Ghazarian also previously served as the senior statistician for a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study.
Dr. Ghazarian has mentored undergraduate as well as graduate students, medical residents and junior faculty in areas of research methodology, study design, and complex analytical techniques across a variety of disciplines and subspecialties including psychology, psychiatry, rheumatology, hospital medicine, pediatrics, and maternal child health. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate level coursework in child and adolescent development, research methodologies, and statistics. In partnership with colleagues, Dr. Ghazarian developed a research training curriculum for Johns Hopkins Medicine and served as co-director of the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Clinical and Translational Research Training Track program which implemented the newly developed curricula for selected medical residents, fellows and junior faculty participants.
Additional experience includes serving as co-chair for data governance and stewardship committees and co-sponsoring a large Enterprise Data Warehouse implementation effort.
Kristin Hoffman, Ph.D.

Kristin Hoffman, Ph.D., graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2010 with a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She completed her pre-doctoral internship training in child psychology at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles/USC School of Medicine and her postdoctoral training at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, TN. In 2012, Dr. Hoffman began her career as a Psychologist at the University of Tennessee Center of Excellence for Children in State Custody (UTHSC COE), where she provided assessment, consultation, and treatment to children and families with child welfare involvement and collaborated on statewide projects to disseminate evidence-based, trauma-focused interventions. A highlight of her early career at the UTHSC COE was her agency being awarded a National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative (NCTSI) – Category III Community Treatment and Service Centers grant, which made them a member of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). Dr. Hoffman is certified as a Level II (statewide/regional) Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) trainer by PCIT, International.
In 2018, Dr. Hoffman joined the Psychology Department at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (JHACH) in St. Petersburg, FL as Director of Trauma Psychology. As part of this role, she collaborated with All Star Children’s Foundation on program innovation, evidence-based practice, and evaluation/research. Through this work, Dr. Hoffman has worked closely with All Star staff to identify, develop, and implement cutting-edge approaches to foster parent training and development, biological family engagement, clinical services, and trauma-informed care. Inspired and motivated by the mission and vision of All Star, Dr. Hoffman joined ASCF in 2020 as Chief of Programs, where she is responsible for program development and project oversight for All Star’s significant portfolio of innovative, trauma-informed programs.
